that would be worse, as you now know that both sensors are "in the area".

being that an Oil pressure switch looks nothing like a Knock Sensor, then yes, its in the area of the oil filter.

to someone who hasnt seen both how would they know the difference since the oil switch is covered by a boot and the knock sensor has a huge clip covering it...

just thought i would clear it up since i made the mistake up trying to unclip the knocksensor thinking it was the oil pressure switch back when i was plumbing my oil feed line. fricken broke my knock sensorwhile trying to unclip it... that SOB is so britttle and cracked opened. cost about 200 bucks for a new one too

didnt you get a CEL? which woulda put it into limp mode? if your car overheated it was for sure not your knock sensor. maybe air in your coolant...

my stupid coolant reservoir didnt work worth a shit... my half rad was like half empty but my engine temp guage never read past half hot either... musta been a good rad... but my turbo seals blew due to not getting any coolant......

no, my knock sensor got blown out after the car overheated. the heater core tube failed and let all the coolant out all at once, causing it to overheat really quick. burnt the headgasket
