Soo i dont undertand whats wrong. A week ago is was fine. Recently, i'd go to lock or unlock the car and the flashing lights would be soo delayed and it woudnt beep. So i kept resetting it so id beep when i lock/unlock it...now, i go to lock it and it dosnt even lock...it wont work. I changed the battery in the remote but that didnt work. So it be my car battery, or is OEM alarm jacked up?

 

my alarm died on me about a month ago aswell. they seem to just fall apart after so many yrs of abuse on our keychains.... i just bought a new one and said fuck it....mine did the same thing as yours

 

reprogram it

 

wow, mine is sort of doing the same thing, with a delay, but i think it's just my battery. it kinda started after someone backed into my car. i came out and found my hood released and dented. i don't now if the impact damaged any of the sensors though.

 

I'd try another remote since you've already reprogrammed yours. They're always selling on ebay for about $25. They're used ofcourse, but usually guaranteed to work. Make sure you get the right one though, there are a lot of remotes that look right but won't work.

 

how do i reprogram it? Do you mean just holding down the "trunk & lock" buttons until the red light goes on? Thats what I do to make it beep/not beep....but is that also reprograming it?
