i don't think it matters if the batterys connected or not.. nothing will happen.. i would just out of saving my own ass.. disconnect the battery.. or just use a long ass extension

hmmm......my dad is a ASE certified machanic and he told me he would never mess with the ait bag system. So i guess u might be missing teeth afterwards. but you ll have a nice steering wheel. ANd the football helmet thing......that will be a good idea. maybe you can ask the dealer or a honda specialist......

Airbag

I remember my boy took the whole airbag out and set it on the seat. I think you just have to be real careful when disconnecting the harness that holds it in place, but definiatly undo the battery and fuse if there is one. I know it's possible though.

I've been told that removing the ABS fuse(s) will completely disarm the airbag system, then you should be safe! Take the neg cable off to be sure!

Yeah,

Sorry about that! Send me a PM with your direct e-mail address. The scans are too large for a-cl.com's e-mail.

You're welcome; although all of the e-mail I'm sending you is coming back "undeliverable". Even the resized (smaller) scans aren't going through???????

I sent them one more time. Unfortunately, I've got to run. If you still need them (and don't get them now), I'll be happy to try on Saturday.

you can just unplug the airbag, it wont go off. But if you disconnect your air bag your srs light will stay on, and its illegal.

The ABS fuses are in a small "box" like the fuse box, near the fuse box, theres 4 fuses and a relay in there. The control module for the abs is behind the plastic trim by the passenger's feet, to the right of the ecu.
