But is the whoosing sound normal its almost like a whistling but it only occurs in the lower rpms and doesent happen all the time. the vacumm effetc when i turn the car off is pretty cool too. hehe

Congrats man, the cai is definitely worth the price and time. That sound is normal. If there's a tunnel where you live try going under it and downshifting at like 60, you won't be disappointed.

I know the VTEC engagement points are different on the 3.0 and the 2.2/2.3, I think i remember it being 3500 or so on the 3.0, when does VTEC engage on the 2.3?

ive heard that the whistling is normal for 6 cylinders, but my brother said his friend took his car up to the shop we go to because it was making that same noise, and the shop told him it was a crack or missing seal in the intake manifold....it was causing major power loss and he might have to buy a new manifold, so i dont know whats happened with it now. or if the shop is just trying to scam him or what?

there's an awesome group buy @ groupbuycenter.com---they aren't charging for overnight shipping either....i think i'll end up paying $215 for a new one, including the bypass valve.
