either way, if the man who you might swap with has all the shit you can litterally just switch out he engine bays... for the most part anyways. might be a couple extra things, but still, if you do this, that'll be pimp shit.

No, I said driveshaft. I meant driveshaft. You don't know that FWD's have driveshafts? I hope you aren't doing the labor yourself

Oh and the differential costs over $1,000 alone if you were to buy it new, just the differential.

It is a helical limited slip differential. What do you expect it to cost? Its not like it is just a housing and some gears.

The differential from the automatic cost about half the price of the LSD.

Of course it didn't cost $1000 to make, nothing you ever buy is sold for what it cost to make. They need to make a profit obviously. Do you really think a 2nd Gen CL-S costs $30k for Acura to make?

If you are referring to eric's cl-s engine and tranny (jimmyrecluse from v6p.net) then it has already been sold. Just a heads up.

nope because the dealership probaly only pays $15k, new vettes dealerships are paying less than $25k here.

I HIGHLY HIGHLY DOUBT the dealer invoice on a C6 Vette is under $25k, no way in hell. If a dealership made over 100% profit on a car they'd all be disgustingly rich. I believe your facts are way off, unless you've got something to show us to back it up. It might cost $25k for the factory to assemble them, but dealerships are not paying under $25k for a car that sells for over $50k

don't know if it was a c6, it may of even been last year. One of our part time painters works at a bodyshop fulltime and his boss was in real good with the dealership and got it for around $25. Automotive sales is just like car audio, BIG MARK UP, in car audio a part that may sell for $99 is usually sold to the dealer for less than $40. We haven't been selling parts that way but we've talked to reps that told us what other stores are selling them for.

average manfacturer cost on a 30,000 car is about 10,000 dollars

cost to supplier/middleman=about 22,000-->sell to dealers for about 26,000

MSRP reads 30,000 dollars....invoice says about 27,000.....difference between invoice and dealer cost is the freight for prvate dealers, advertising, interest paid to bank.....yes dealers finance those 300 cars sitting on the lot they dont buy them outright until customer buys it.

and that's the great big happy story where the most amount of people get a share of your money!

I think it was on page four that mentions he sold it already. I contacted him and it was confirmed. So I'll be getting those Type S cams machined after all. I'll be sure to give you guys the dyno on that. I know you guys are looking to see proof of it's gains.

i plan on getting another car.

The pic in my avatar is actually a car that is for sale. It's a right hand drive dc2. I love jdm dc2's...so i plan on either getting a rhd one ONLY, (no USA version), or my vr4. Those are the only cars i'd get at this point. That dc2 is on n1 coilovers, volks te37, and has a lot of mugen parts on it, its registered as well. And white is the color i was wanting for that car too. As for the vr4, i'd only get that in black, 97-99 only. I'm really picky and have my reasons....

I kinda gave up on this auto. I did plan on buying the 4banger cl, and doing the h22 turbo swap into it, but then figured it'd be another 2 years project. Might as well start on the car i really want. don't get me wrong, i love the cl, but i hate it's tranny. I do plan on keeping the cl for as long as it lasts though. If I come up on a lot of cash, then i'll do extensive shit to it, untill then, i'm only getting a retune, rims, coilovers, the cams finished, and more nitrous....

i didnt do it, remember.....

I had the money, but asked the seller if he could have his buddy take a look at my car to see if it'd be a fairly easy swap since our body frames differ from the 98-02 accords. That's all I wanted, and his buddy was going to do the swap. I told him, based on what his friend would tell me about the swap, then I'd leave him the car right then and there, and pay cash up front. But he ended up selling it on a tuesday, when I had scheduled to meet him on saturday.

When I had first bought my CL, I had no idea what it was nor what it had. I'm glad that I had ended up with a 4cyl because if I had a v6, I would've most likely sold my car after a while.

oh yea, forgot to answer your question...i was getting the engine, tranny and everything needed ( pedals, center console and everything needed except for the tranny ecu) for 3800 and install was gonna cost around 1200. It was a great deal. That woulda left me with 6g's for misc. and the turbo. Now i kinda can care less....

Does anyone think it can ALL be done for 5 grand? If so, then I'm down to do this right now.
I know a guy out here in Jersey who would do it. Right now he is putting a Type R and 6 speed tranny in a 03' Civic Si..That car looks sick...But he's in Jerz...

Cocoa, have ever thought of doing a 03' Accord 3.0 V6 6speed swap. I think this
might be easier than the J32A2 swap. The Accord comes with 240hp, I know its
somewhat less than the J32A2 but I think its still worth it.
What do you think?
