It's Been 3 Years . . .

. . . since my beloved 1st CL was demolished! I haven't visited here in quite a while. It's amazing how much info is available here now for the 1st gen CL. Wasn't a whole lot here "back in the day". I wrote some DIYs here, and did some innovative (1st time) mods. I guess I'll do a search and see if they still show up.

I spent a hell of a lot of time on this site.

Peace!

Rick you'll always be my first inspiration, you're the reason I bought a CL.

Good to see you're still around, you still got the pony?

Yeah, since april of 03, dust's car was the first modded CL I saw, bought the car in may of 03, lost my first account and created a new one in 05 :killer:

Rick, we're still using those DIY's, they're in the DIY/FAQ forum now

Dude, your car was straight money! You're generations before my time, but glad to see you've poked your head in.

Hah, that was the car that made me get my stock fogs. I remember goggling fog lights and that came up.

What's up everyone!!!!!????? It's nice to be remembered!

My car was hit by a pick up truck. My tranny died, so I needed to pull to the side of the road. I was under a bridge, so there was no shoulder. So, my car was in the very right lane with flashers on. Some drunk dude did not see my car, and hit it doing somewhere between 45-55 mph!

It really sucked!

Just bought a 2008 Audi A4 2.0T. It's getting "chipped" next week!

Hey Rick!!
I don't stop by very often anymore either. I've also gone by way of the Audi. Instead of spending $2k in mods in the last year, it's almost cost me that much to maintain it...partly cause it's a 6 yr old car, but it's enough to make me start thinking of getting something else soon. Great looking cars, but expensive to fix I'm finding out.

Good to hear you're still alive!!

The insurance company bought my car. I took out what I could easily get to (primarily nitrous & sound system). Got $$$ for everything else. Honestly, most shit on my car was sorta old. I had mods on the car that were 2-3 years old. They really weren't worth spending the time to remove them (3 of 4 wheels were dented . . . exhausted was loud . . . wood trim wouldn't come off . . . etc.). Also, it was in January . . . cold, snowy, and the car was outside!

The Audi is pretty cool. My Uncle has owned a 2002 1.8T Quattro for several years (it's heavily modded: chip, turbo, 20s, brakes, exhaust, intake, sound system, custom paint job, dual spoiler, etc.), and I've always loved the car.

I'm getting an additional 55 hp and 95 ft-lbs torque this weekend for just over $500. Not bad for just a "chip"! No other mods done at this time.

Take care, everyone!
