installing intake
installing intake
i was wondering if anyone knew where I could go to find detailed directions on the AEM CAI installation for my 3.0
the directions included aren't too detailed and I don't wanna screw anything up. thanks

I dont have anything detailed, but it is very simple. I had no idea what I was doing and I think I had everything done in less than 45 minutes. Just unbolt the stock airbox and resonater ( the piece in the wheel well) and rip them out and throw the intake in there, its that simple.
I am having that same problem... right now I have it kinda hanging there but I have to do something soon ... for the bottom support, I drilled a hole and was able to get a nut to the bottom of it ...
you have to take off the splash guard... it's the plastic lining all around the wheel well... taking that off took me longer than anything else. you need to pop out the fasteners w/ a flat-head screwdriver. there's two bolts on the resonator, then it just pulls out.
well i got mine in successfully and it makes a huge difference. it's very loud but i think it's worth the noise. my check engine light is on so i need to have that checked out, but everything seems to work fine.

I just have the short intake. It rains a ton in the summers in miami and I don't want water getting up in there. I'm not willing to take a chance of blowing an engine for a little more power!
