Imma Noob. Opinion 99 2.3CL?
Hey guys, I've been looking at buying a CL, and browsing this forum. So specifically, I'm looking at a 99 2.3CL with just under 96,000 miles on it. The guy is asking $7200, and he just got a tune up and work done on the transmission. I was wondering what your opinions on the price of the car are. Also, I was looking at the consumer reports review, and the only real trouble spot it said for the 99 was the exhaust, but it didn't go into any detail. Any idea what kind of problems those might be?

Umm... are you guys kidding me? 5k is wayyyyy underpriced.
Fair market value is ~$6500 in my state for a '98 with 100k+ miles! I can't imagine it changes from state to state by too much, if any.
My opinion? $7200 is quite reasonable, maybe a little high, but within the range.

If he just did all that work, then he's trying to recover that cost to sell it, 6-7 is reasonable
