I'm thinking about an OEM spoiler

I was just perusing the pictures that CLpower posted of his washed and waxed car... I like the OEM spoiler more and more.

what are peoples opinions on the spoiler?

how many people actually have the OEM or got the aftermarket OEM "style" spoiler.

well let me know ... hopefully it will spark interesting conversations and no

I actually really like the oem spoiler. I just don't know if it has a brake light and how that works with the ones that come with the car. If you can find one at a good price, let me know as I am interested too. Can someone say groupbuy?

well you can find them on ebay... the "OEM style" which are just a knock off of the OEM part... the brake light wiring just piggy backs the brake lights or attach it to the wiring of your third brake light... I believe it is illegal to have a spoiler brake light and the 3rd brake light both light up.... so you can use the connection that the 3rd brake light had, wired through the trunk

I got the OEM style one off ebay.. It looks perfect from the outside, but when I open the trunk you can see that I had to redrill the holes, cause they didn't match up

I definately like the OEM better than no spoiler on our cars. Only way to pull off the no spoiler is if it's bagged or slammed to the ground, then I like no spoiler.

I wish I had TeamBlurryCL's Black Widow spoiler

huh?

and by law they are required to have a brake light, you need 3. The one in the rear window is no longer visable

and I have OEM. I believe wings west sells an OEM style one. Should be good quality.

if you bought your CL with the spoiler on it from the dealer... does your car still have the 3rd brake light already there?

I would rather remove it and put it another 6x9 or something.

u cant fit another 6x9.

my car was certified from acura when i baught it (privately).

i has both a lightup spoiler and 3rd brake light. but theres

one problem: from all my bass, the spoiler cracked at its

mounting points. u could see at my recent thread entitled

either Observances or SOme Pix for dat ass, im 2 lazy to find the

link.

EXACTLY

I got the wings west oem spolier and am extremely happy. LED bar works perfect with no dead leds after 3 yrs. The mount holes lined up perfectly. I just drilled out the marks in the trunk that are already there. the center is the only one i had to line up to drill.

i love the oem spoiler also!

Go with the spoiler!!

I think it really blends with the car very well. It doesn't stand out like some other cheesy spoilers.

I really like the OEM spoiler. When I was car shopping, I passed up on several 1st gen CLs because they didn't have a spoiler.

hey the champaign CL to the right has the same damned slight mirror tint as mine... are you SURE there was no option for factory or dealer tint?

yeah I'll have to wait to get the WW lip painted then so I can scrounge together some money for a spoiler... then get them both painted at the same time to save some money.

Yeah you guys with the nice pics just love an opportunity to post them huh lol...

well thanks for the advice, anyone against the OEM spoiler?

spoiler depot has it primered for 99 bucks plus shipping didn't bother to look at the price for it.. but yeah it isn't that expensive... ryan (SooDARK) had issues with the spoiler tips rubbing the paint on the body of the car from the bass he was pushing... anyone else have that problem?
