Well, the C3's are about to go, probably by next wk. They ll be replaced by some brand new 19inch RacingHart GT5's. They ll be gunmetal with a polished lip.

The reason is, a while back i had to send the C3's back under warranty because the clear coat was peeling on them. I got a new set, and now its happening again. So i went back to RacingZone, the shop i always go to, and they got in contact with the RH people. Come to find out, C3's are no longer in production, and they cant replace them. So he goes, just pick out a new set! I was looking at either the C2's or the C5's, but everyone has those. So i looked at the GT5. they have them in silver, bronze, gunmetal, or black. I'm gonna go with the gunmetal, since i like the way it looks. This will be my 3rd set of rims in about a year, and 4th total. I cant wait!

Yea i looked at those rims, and none of them will fit our cars, those are made for rear-wheel drive applications. I was going to get the CR's, but they only go up to 18' in single piece, not 19', so those were out.

 

i need to look for rims, when i get my car back from the swap. i might buy a set of ssr comps. i also gotta buy some teins.

 

Too bad the CRs wont work - They are my fav. out of there current line... I saw they were in 19s, but I didnt realize that only the multi-piece were available in that size. Bummer... Oh well, the GT5s are pretty pimp as well

 

So you get them for free under the warranty?

 

i have to pay a difference of $350, which isnt bad, thats the difference in price of brand new C3's and brand new GT5's. If i wanted new C2's or C5's it'd be nothing.

Its not really that bad, but bad enough that they need to be replaced. And the C3's are going to be "traded in" so to say, they're going back to RH.
