IAT Sensor

I am about to take my intake manifold off to clean out the carbon and replace my EGR valve. I got a P401 code when my check engine light came on. I was wondering since I have the manifold off should I just put a new IAT sensor on? I an going to put a new PCV in as well. The sensor is about 26.00 at the dealer. My 99 3.0 has 180k miles.

why a IAT?, iirc it's quite easy to replace even when the manifold is still on

and as far as the EGR code quite common on the J-motor, and Normally the EGR valve is perfectly fine; it's the passages that get plugged up over time, blocking the flow
