I want one...

Anybody already own this? alpine

I want it, but I'm not sure Alpine has the capacity to make a GPS since they're known for their music. Am I just being close minded??

I don't own Alpiine, but they are highly rated. If you want it and have the cash... DO IT! If you don't like what you see on the display case, get something else. As for weather or not Alpine makes a GPS... Go check out their website and see what they say. I mean, this thread sort of reminds me of the guy trying to get help with his Blackberry.

Not trying to be an ass, just stating a fact.
Good luck with your purchase what ever it might be.

I have a Garmin eTrex Legend handheld GPS. It and MapQuest have never let me down.

I want to hear Phil say... "Anthony & Kari, you are the first to arrive. You are team NUMBER ONE."

Ebay; the guy I got it from from is giving me the 1 yr. warranty, has 100% feedback, and if I get it and decide I don't want it, he'll let me return it. Oh, and his shipping was $20, but if you pay within the first 2 hours after you win, he only charges you for 1/2 of the shipping, so really it'll only cost me $550.

page for the gps i bought; use the sellers' name

Let me know what you're lookin' for, and I'll try to see if I can find it for you. Sometimes I'm good at that kinda thing.

lower price for the w200, in comparison

great return policy, but only 98.8% pos. feedback

90 day warranty & if you can't get that one, I'm sure if you check, he has a lot more...

UPS guy came yesterday; so I got my GPS. Looks great, works great - when you're taking the route it wants you to take. If you get off track, you're screwed. Also, if you're looking up a place, like a restaurant or mall, it takes FOREVER to locate them. One nice thing though, in comparison to the Garmin, is that it has little gas pumps etc. wherever they are located on the road or off an exit. Haven't used the MP3 capabilities yet, but I'll get there when I have some free time. Oh, and another thing that totally sucks - it doesn't work unless it's plugged in! So really, it's nothing great. I bought for the mere fact that it's Alpine, but I think they should just stick to sound rather than a GPS.
