dont lower the car on stock struts it will eventually blown them out. if you want a good spring/ shock combo i would go with Neuspeed sports springs which is 1.75 front 1.5 rear. got them for $210 on ebay and KYB AGX shocks which i got for like 345 on ebay. its a nice clean drop

yeah or you can get eibach sportlines which drop the car like 2 in front and 1.75 rear, and some kyb agx's. Thats a good setup too.

I have this setup. do not recommend it. very stiff yet bouncy.

go with something softer, like stechs or neuspeed sports.

Glad to hear that from someone with experience. I'm wondering if my GC's with tokico blues will be a rough ride too.

yes they would work, but i wouldnt advise getting them without shocks. stock stuts are not made for lowering and they will blow out eventually

like they said pretty much the stock struts will blow very fast. Then your car will bounce around and handle like crap. Just save a little money and do it all at once. Then you only have your suspension apart once(hell why in the world would you wanna do it twice).

im going to repeat what everyone else said and say you should save up more money for better struts to handle the drop. otherwise your stock struts will blow out

Save up and get something that looks great, rides awsome and WILL keep you safe especially where you drive. I feel like crying everytime I drive down Metropolitan. I actually blew a tire, bent a OEM rim and bent and destroyed my shock on Metropolital.

not bouncy yet anyways first they will start leaking and then it's squishy time. Just do as you wish, get springs now if that's what you wanna do. Maybe you will regret it later maybe not(fat chance on that though).

you get what you paid for. if you drop it, do it right the first time. you can't go cheap with your suspension.

they'll tell you anything to sell a product.

Seriously guys, buy good springs and shocks together, don't fuck around trying to save a buck, when a cheap suspension might cost you ur life. If you can't afford the proper parts, you shouldn't be driving a lowered car.

Well yeah, of course you can. How would aftermarket shocks/springs fit if they were vastly different than OEM?

Aftermarket shocks aren't physically different than OEM struts - they're designed different internally to handle a drop.

just spend a few more bucks on coilovers so that you don't have to think about it anymore.

Dont get me wrong i like my car and most CLs and acura/honda for that matter but have you ever heard that old saying " you can polish a turd all you want, but its still a turd" Im just not throwing money like that at MY car but to each his/her own do what you want with your car or your money..

I've been preaching this since the day I started posting on here, you can get away with putting springs on oem shocks, but why bother, for an extra $200 you can get a brand new set of shocks that aren't 10-12 years old and do it right the first time
