I got yanked by the POLICE yesterday for...

a loud ass exhaust, driving too low and the topper was my HIDS or what they called "Spearmint Lights"....

DAMN... my car is draweing alot of POLICE attention thses days!!! I have been yanked an easy 10 times in the last 2 months!!!! I am not a speeder and even iuse my turn signals ever turn or lane shift i make!!! I am banned from one small town already and making my way through the rest!!!!

I know my exhaust is crazy loud (2.5" pipe into an N-1 with headers, etc...) and I know my car looks low because of the bodykit, but right now its the same height as its always been for 4 years!!!! The HIDS are also KNOW are illegal if your car is with them from the FACTORY but.... I NEED TO SEE!!!!! lmao

Anyway, I got NO tickets thanks to my handy "get outta jail free" PBA cards ( i have like 5 different town cards, including STATE POLICE!)...

anyway thought i would share and vent!

That sucks man. I don't think that is the kind of attention you hoped to get when you got your car back. Well, at least you know your car stands out more now than before. And that's police backed. LOL!!!!

Too bad Comptech didn't make an exhaust for the 3.0 like they do the Type-S. Nice looking and quiet.

I got pulled over AT LEAST once a week, every single week last summer. Luckly they were just hometown hereos looking for booze on my breath and let my off for all my other little crap, they all know me by name now which is actually a good thing, I think.

You need to move into a town with a lot of redneck police officers. My friend had really loud exhaust on his car and a cop pulled him over just so he could get him to rev it up for him.

somehow i manage to get by cept for the tint at times. other than that i dont get bothered. casper maybe u should get some projectors for ur hids. that should eliminate the cops botherin u cuz of ur lights. i think ur car is loud becuase with ur system and air tank in the trunk it seems u got to give it more gas to move then in the past. i was wonderin why ur car was loud followin u to ur house. idk.

hey, check your laws. Out here they pull us over for loud exhaust all the time, but they can't legally be doing it, cops don't know the laws. Out here you can only get a ticket if the exhaust is louder then 95 db. And I doubt yours is. Being that the officer has not proof then the ticket is null. Go and fight it. Also, your HID's are street legal aren't they? Fight that too. I've litterally gotten probally over 30 fix it tickets for random shit and barely ever am forced to pay.

Cops can be bitches, and most are. The only thing I can see them being pissed about is the exhaust (understandabel)- I dont think there is any regulation here like there is in cali though.

That sucks. I know you want to get attention for your car, but not from the cops! Maybe they just want to get a closer look at it

i got pulled over one time on my way to dinner, the cop said he wanted to know what else was bolted onto my engine besides the nice shiny exhuast. wanted to know how beefed up the car was. it was one of only 2 cool experiences i had with cops. otherwise its always a tint ticket. oh well.

Nah, all HID aftermarket installs are illegal. You have to have it installed from factory or it's for "off-road" only.

It's cool that you had some pba cards to get you out of trouble. Too bad we don't have that over here in california...it's generally only an east coast thing.

Glad you didn't get a ticket though..sucks you are being targeted by police.

tw112, we can join the CHP 11-99 foundation, but it doesn't always do the trick and runs about 1500$ a year.

yeah I know...it costs a little too much for a 50/50 chance of getting out of a ticket. I guess if you get about 1500 in tickets a year, it might be worth while to check out...but otherwise it's too rich for my blood.

AgentDSS - As far as I know, you have to either have a police/judge friend give you pba cards, or make sizeable donations to the police organizations.

shit its back down here in hawaii, cops can ticket ppl for no recon (reconstruction permit), (kinda like a safety check for modified cars) and if they ticket you for no recon 3 times they have the option of impounding your car
