How are you guys mounting auxiliary lighting? I bolted mine right into the bumper cover because the bolts it came with aren't long enough to penetrate the bumper beam, and as a consequence, the lights bounce so badly it looks like they're strobe lights!
Do you think that wedging something like styrofoam between the bumper cover and the bumper beam would help?
Here's a pic... I just need to install the clear bumper lights & I think I'll be set.
The lights are Hella FF75's in the driving pattern and damn are they bright for their size and money.

I just used the short bolts my fogs came with and bolted them to the under side of the bumper as well and they are in tight.
If you are doing clear bumper lenses as well you should have done them first because now you probably have to remove the fog lights to get the corner out but oh well
Oh wash that poor thing :P

Actually, I can just rotate the driving lights enough so I can unbolt the bumper lights. And yes, both the CL & the WRX are now so dirty that they're almost the same color.

It's just a nut, bolt, and some washers holding the lights on there. Only the driver's side seems to bounce a lot, so maybe I just picked a weak part of the bumper.

I just put my lights on too. I tried to mount mine as far into the grill as possible and I had to cut out some of the slats to make it fit right. I'm going to try and mout the grill mesh over the lights so you can't see them or try and cut holes in the mesh so they perfectly fit and show. I'll try a few options.
I think the driver side bounces a bit too...

Mine came with a mounting flange for the backside of the bumper. I had to use longer bolts to reach through the bumper reinforcement, but it works well. The flange is 1/8 sheet metal in the shape of the mounting base. Maybe try making something like this or see if the manufacturer has one.:sqnteek:
