Im gonna take the easy way out when the time comes and just pick up a new filter. cleaining it sounds like its a pain in the ass. Plus you might as well put in a fresh filter after 40k.

sorry maybe i wasnt clear, its not like an airbox filter, its the AEM filter at the end of a Cold Air intake.

No, you were clear, thats what I have also, and i think after 40K, maybe a new one would be better. You'll probably feel more of a difference versus just cleaning the old one.

well a recharge kit is 10-15$ depending on where you go to purchase it.. and a recharge kit on a k&n will ensure the filter to last longer than the vehicle.. or to a million miles whatever comes first.. lol

i am going to recharge my filter as soon as all the muck/sand/salt is off the roads

nope.. simple.. pretty much spray from the inside out and then put the conditioner on .. its not that hard at all.. use it wisely and you could use it a couple of times..
