how to install trunk springs

So I bought an oem spoiler and when I took the old springs off I realized I didnt memorize how the springs were installed. So does anyone have a drawing or know how to install the springs?

Thanks

I know there is a tool made for it, but i used a long plier wrench and pulled it off...wasnt too bad. The plier is curved in a way which gave me the torque to do the job.

look at the bend where the speaker is and the width of the hooks. You are going to use these pics and look at ur springs at the same time then I think you could figure it out.

Ninja, does your trunk open up like normal now that you have the spoiler and haven't changed the springs or the way they are placed? Normal, as in when you pop the trunk it actually opens up halfway...

Not anymore. I guess the weight wore them down? but it just clicks up like an inch and when parked on a hill, it smacks my head..

That's why new springs are essential when you get a spoiler

That trunk has got to weight anywhere around 50 pounds. Without the springs, i didnt realize how heavy it was just to lift the trunk up. I never realize trunks were that heavy...why are they so heavy? Anyway hopefully tomorrow ill be able to install the springs.

I know, random but I love out hoods. They go up so easily and you don't need to hold it open with a bar!

That reminds me, if I will be having a hard time with this, maybe i should customize some struts for the trunk like the hood.
