I am new to the forum and I have question i have a 98 auto 2.3 CL and I have had it for like a month and I love my car but i want to go faster.The fastest I have gone is around 115-120 mph is there any way i can do a little modifiction to do at least 125-130 mph or can i change the ECU chip???



I have raced a 05 evo and i was right on his tail and also a 95 240zx that i whooped.

If this is true i'm definetly ditching my 5speed for an auto he must have had it in "R" racing speed

 

ppl dont do ECU chips on Honda's typically. most of the ECU's dont have governors.

and if u were on an EVO's tail chances are he wasnt racing you.

and since your 18 like me your gonna learn that going those speeds are just dumb. especially if your on your own insurance policy.

but btw the way ive done 137 in my car with just I/H/E. you can get to your top speed its just gonna take a few miles. but i dont recommend it.

My 1990 integra only had a 1.8 NON v-tec and I got that bitch over 140...

Mater of fact, my Prelude was a 1985 with a 1.8 and DUAL SIDE DRAFT CARBS... yes carbs... and I could get it to 130...

 

I got my car up to 130,..

 

forgot to add,.. it kept going. It was climbing slow but it was still climbing...

i was with a friend and there was als a 06 civic si and a tc.but i kept up with the evo until we got to our exit but maybe he was playin wit me but the evo knew i was coming for him cuz he 1st passed by n then i passed him n he hit the gas and was in front so i guess he knew next time there is a club meeting i will ask him how about that

 

the evo no and the 240 tried to keep up with me it looked like he did a lil modification.

And i really dont know haw fast i was going with the evo but i would say more than 100+mph because i wasnt checking it.but when i do check 117 mph and slowing climbing

this thread is gold. trust me, in a 2.2 there is now way ur keeping up with an evo. u got a 145hp motor in a 3300lb car. the evo was deffinitly screwing with you, or is was a base lancer with a body kit on it and huge wing.

i love this place......even though i dont own an acura anymore.

Even the 240 was a stretch.... Let alone the EVO... Maybe it was just a regular lancer with evo crap, and if you still cant the the difference between the two, then racing is not something that you should be doing...
