High Flow Cat

How many peeps got aftermarket high flow cats put on?

How much of a difference did you feel, what brand will fit our cars, and how much?

Thanx ahead.

I have one on my car like I said on the other post. The 94-97 accord cats fit perfectly. I have an OBX cat.

I'm not sure about the 3.0 but for the 4 cylinder CL's its the 94-97 Accords.
Here is a pic of my cat.

I don't know about on the CL, but I did put a Random Technology cat on my son's 99 Si and you could feel the difference. You can find them at;random technolgy

The installation was easy and the service was great.

Plan to get one once I finally change my exhaust system

cl miner did the random tech cat come with the o2 sensor hole? or did the si not even have one cuz on the cl we got another sensor in our cat. i guess i could just run the wires to the other o2 sensor before the cat. i figure after i/h/e that changin my cat should definitely have some kind of gain.

Yes,

The random tech came with the O2 sensor hole and everything. Just took the old one off and put the new one on. Everything fit just perfect, including the O2 sensor.

Now it is not as pretty as the one shown in the picture and is three times as expensive as the others mentioned here, but we are happy with it.

I did a lot of research and read a lot of stuff on the venom and really all it does it trick you into thinking that it adds power when all it does is press on the gas for you, more or less. Your top end power, at WOT is exactly the same because it shuts off at WOT. Only works when pedal is down 25-75% down. You feel like there is more power, but if you just floored your pedal each time it would the same feel.

listen for the last time it does more than that becuase #1 i have a venom and # i will tell u. i can floor my car all i want with it off and it isnt as fast. and to prove it when my venom is on which is rare cuz it doesnt make for smooth driving my car can chirp the tires in 2nd. no way does it do it when its off. it does play with the air/fuel ratio and shift points also.

??? Wouldn't the power be ALWAYS there if you ALWAYS left the Venom on? Thats what I was planning to do if I got one.

Yes, it is an expensive cat.

On the Si we have a cai, pulleys, VTEC controller, DC sports headers, that crazy twisted dual container DC sports catback, etc. The last thing we did was the $240 cat, and other than the original installation of the cai it seemed to do more than anything else. Expensive, yes, but well worth every penny. In my opinion that is.

Plus, as already mentioned, the service with random tech was great. The first cat they sent out was bad and they paid to have it shipped back and sent another immediately, no questions asked.

Good product, good company.

Enough said

(ps - and no, I am not getting a kick back)

yo how did u know the cat was bad? also if u drive with on all th etime u will not have a smooth ride. and forget hills. it kicks on then off then on then off. it gets confused on a hill. i mean a hill mor eliek a mountain i shoudl say. n e ways i think the venon sux for everyday driving. i only have it on when im lookin for trouble. the venom for me is like a 15 shot of NOS. all of a sudden huge burst of power that is un needed during my daily drive. spend the 300 on a jacobs ice pack ignition, and get some wires. i wish i did. by now it woudl have paid for itself in the mpg increase. cant wait to order one. every1 i know loves it and says it is ther best mod. and i know 3 of them had it for a year now and no probs. so things are lookin good.
