do ur self a favor and buy the real stuff. i got the ballasts and bulbs for $250 off ebay and then projectors for another $170. no $350 kit can touch that. its worth the extra 50-100. if ur gonna go with a kit get d2r bulbs. i can already tell u that if u put an hid bulb in ur stock halogen housing it looks nice but it just send bright ass light all over the place. with a projector it concentrates the beam much much brighter and aims it with proper cut off. u will prob have to aim ur lights down alot. and my oem $5 9005 bulbs in my low beam were superior to the hid in the stock housing. now in the projector thats a diff story. i only did one so far and it alone puts out better light output than both 9005 bulbs in my low beam. why spend $350 for looks????

do what u want, but im tellin u from my experience messin around with the hids and projectors i just got.

as far as i know trying to get that to work is a waste of time. better off upin the displacement on a h22 to 2.3 or even 2.4

good luck then with the frankenstein. h23 is a great motor. its usually over looked just like the f22 by the "almighty h22" anyway there was a kid with a 95 h23 accord turbo runnin high 13s. havent heard from him in like a year though. i think he sold it.

What about CATZ HID kits. They just were released to the US. Fully plug and play and are not supposed to disrupt the beam pattern as the light output is centered to be same as the halogen bulb. I know retail is like $588... but I might be able to organize a group buy. Who is interested?

even a good kit will never compare to a true HID projector setup. unless ur just not confident in custom install then i dont see spendin that kind of money. maybe i was just lucky but i picked up all my parts for only $450. and they werent cheap brands.
oem audi hella ballasts and oem audi osram bulbs with bmw projectors.

An HID plug and play 9006 kit will give you plently of light output with mininum scatter in our housings. If you aim them down a little you will have a decent beam pattern (not projectors good but decent) and you shouldnt get flashed. I have been flashed maybe twice and thats on back roads in rural florida where half the people havent even see an HID equiped car.

The beam isnt directly centered in the door, as you can see but there is no real scatter on the door or anywhere around the car (ceiling, sides, etc) The beams are actually i nice white with a blue hue but the camera made them look greenish

I can't post a price or a group buy here because I don't know the advertising rules, etc.. but if someone wants to contact me to help setup a group buy, I can do that.

The CATZ kit is not supposed to scatter and maintains your original beam pattern. The kit uses some of the smallest components in the industry.

Check out http://www.liteswap.com

O yea.. I would also go with the 4300-4500K kits... they give MUCH better light output... that is more like the pure daylight range....

when i post my pics up i bet none of u contemplate getting a kit. yeah the good kits are decent but u still dont get the lighting like on a new cl with a hid reflector housing. put in some sylvania cool blue 9005s in ur low beams and ull get a better result more often than not for over $400 less
