for getting it registered..... my car has a salvage title and went for an salvage vehical inspection today, forked out 250 and the guy took 5 minutes and said the car wont pass without work...... cause of rusted exhaust, cracked front bumper cover, and bent rad support, and worn brakes, still had like 40% on it..he quoted me like 3000.. im surprised he didnt say i needed new tires too..... i just got hustled. called around to other places too and they said canada standard are really high for salvaged cars.... but ive seen cars in way worse condition on the roads. fucken bull shiet i tell you.

im planing on taking your VIN and getting a plate, thats all, i dont think you would get in trouble, cause VINs are visable to anyone, i could of just walked by and copied it down right?

 

I know someone that did the same thing. His car got impounded & his friend got fucked..

 

another thing. How long have you had this car? Where did you get it from? Salvage title can also mean stolen... Not saying u stole it, but Ive seen this shit b4.

 

not stolen... got it off ebay from washington... i got insurance already tho... im gonna cancel it then..... im so angry that i feel like vomiting..... spent tho whole day trying to get this done. fuck

If you don't mind me asking, why on earth did you buy a salvage title from the States?? I live only two and so hours out of Calgary and could have found you one locally. If you are going to use it as a track car, perhaps but the hassle of now having to get it repaired and then approved is a pain in the ars.


Also getting a VIN and expecting just to get plates is the one of the big reasons our insurance up hear is getting expensive because if you get into an accident, not only do you get fined for not having insurance but also the other party's insurance company is going to get screwed. Not to rain on your parade but do your research before posting something like this

 

naw man not hatin, just dont want a 4 cyl. well as of today, prescious doesent have headers anymore. i put them on the type s.... daymn. gobbs of torque.
