I was wondering the same thing got a 99 2.3 5speed I heard you can get the OEM shifter from a 93 prelude and it will function as a shortshifter for the 97-99 2.3 5 speeds. Not so sure about this but it was in a thread a while back. Been reading a lot but this is my first post. Hi everyone. Then again there is a short shifter adapter for our car... not sure how good they are... some of the ones on ebay look like plastic parts....!!! Yeah if I recall correctly the guy said that the prelude shifter reduces throw and lowers the stick.

I've got a short shift adapter from a 94-97 Accord and it fit perfectly. It didn't cut down the throw as much as I hoped it would, but it helped. I'm thinking about cutting a 1 or 2 inch section out of my shifter and welding it back together.

Can't help you on the header - I haven't bought one yet.
