It's not fun. We used a heavy duty torch to burn mine out. Then used a pneumatic grinder to get out the rest.

I had mine do it no way I was goin through all that.

And speaking of suspension, how is it that the UPS guy can come yesterday morning for my dogs to wake me up on my bday at 10:30, and then not have been here yet today 4 hours later when I'm waiting for bigger fish

depends on how brave you are, I paid dude to do it, but he did all my bushings, sways, coil installs, and ball joint installs, so it was worth it for me to do it all at once.

OK, although I still despise UPS, I am happy they finally brought me my bday present only one day late. Got myself a spool of 12 awg speaker wire that mcajka is gonna help me run in my doors So that came yesterday on my bday at 10:30 am nice to wake up to i guess.

Yay, needed but not that exciting, just another piece needed before I can do my fiberglass project in the trunk. Anyway, only got to get one thing with my stimulus check from W, but had to get myself a bday present. So I picked up Outlaw's suspsnsion. As most of you guys know, this is my 3rd suspension pickup, first was the prokit, then the omni's, but settled on the D2's because of the slamability and the adjustable shocks. The other reason is because they do custom spring rates, so these bad boys are gonna be matched to the spring rates from the Tein SS's. Got a great deal on them, all I need is 2 new rubber boots and 2 front springs and I'm set, that'll run about $100 or so. And as soon as the car is inspected (was supposed to be today, but shop couldn't do it so it'll wait a week or 2.) But as soon as it's inspected, the suspension and exhaust will be installed and it'll be on the road again. Here's a few pics, they're a little dusty, but some of the cleanest used coils I've ever seen, gotta love cali, no rust, just a bit of dust.

Puppy checkin em out

36 way adjustable shocks baby

Came with wrenches for height, and wrenches for the shocks, plus the original d2 sticker

Little angle shot, you can see the 2 torn boots on the front shocks.

Final price $420 shipped to my house, thanks outlaw for the sick deal, another $100 and I'll be golden. Enjoy the SS's, I'm real jealous. Hopefully I can pretend well enough with the custom spring rates. Glad OG's like him are still around.

Happy bday to me bishes!

i got shocks coming sometime too but i just got new tires and if i wait, they'll be toast. i guess i'll attempt the back since its more cambered out. see how that goes.

here are a few pics too.

new tires

hard to see but evident rear camber problem

and finally SPC balljoints at fawkin 335$ for the set, 40$ shipping and 56$ duty/brokerage.

Yeah, standard they come with 13K front and 7K rear. Currently the spring rates are 7K front and 6K rear. Tein SS comes with 6K front and 5K rear, so I wanna switch to 6 and 5, gotta talk to the guys at D2 first and see if I can swap the springs from the back to the front. I do wanna go softer though, roads are brutal around here.

You can swap the springs. That's what I did. $70 shipped for a new pair if I remember correctly. Happy belated and enjoy bro!

Happy belated Chris. Your car better look mighty sick at the meet!

And Dicorp, camber problems are a bitch huh? My back camber wasn't bad when I lowered it. It's my fronts that messed me up. SPC all the way though.

i got the opposite. my front is fine, they're tilted a little but tire wear isn't bad for a drop. the back is awful.

My dumbass overfilled the transmission fluid. What was a 1 hour job (less I think actually) to replace the spark plugs turned into a 5 hour charade.

Woooo I need a new thermostat now. Car overheats like crazy at idle... if I sit more than 2 minutes I need to shut it down.

But, I did just order some new LEDs for my corners to hopefully brighten those up. I'm also putting my amber corners back on (I think clear is played out) and converting the turn signals to a 7443 bulb, so I can have running lights but still have them function as turn signals.

can we see pics of the convertion after you do it? or maybe a quick run down of what you did. that sounds like a fun project (with the 7443 bulbs that is)
