You know what. Looking for a BBK is actually pissing me off. I've contacted Wilwood, and they sent me elsewhere since they didn't have a listing. The company they sent me to, didn't have an answer either and is assuming that an integra bbk will work. Fuck guessing, for a couple of grand it better fit the first time. I just now contacted Brembo and hopefully they send me some good news. Freaking gay.

Cali Emissions
IN CA
Engine Swaps are legal, with strict requirements
1. engine must be newer then the car it's going into
2. engine must have all of the smog equipement from the doner car hooked up, including all sensors, cat or mulitpule cats, etc.
3. after the swap, you must take the car to a smog referee to have the a refereee approved sticker placed on the car. Otherwise your new engine will not pass visual inspection in CA for normal smog. Furthermore, if it's obd2 the computer will automatically know that this is the wrong car. So the ref inspection and approval is essential. Unless you get some smog tech who is brainless or doesn't care.
For intakes and exhausts, the rule is that anything before or in front of the cat must be CARB (CA Air Resource Board) (or something like that) legal. This means the intake, headers, or the high flow cat that you might be thinking about. Like DC headers are CARB approved, i think. So that would be OK to fit. Anything after the cat does not require CARB legal products.

Got back from El Paso and just came back from a cruise with some friends (United Stang's) WITH THE NEW INTAKE!!! Yes, it is the right one, yes it looks great and YES, it sounds SEXY!! I was so eager to finally put that damn intake on that I didn't take any pre-installation and installation pics. I'll take some pics and vids tomorrow.
I was thinking tho... All these guys are repin their "United Stang's" group stickers yet, the only one that has AcuraZine stickers that I could think of are kelpto and someone else. Is it cool If I just make some or do I have to get permission from the admin etc..

I don't know how much more money I can/will put in my car at this point...
$500 for paint (labor is free) and body work
$800+ for suspension
$800+ for new wheels and tires
$500+ for my custom interior
That's over 2g's just to "compete" with the cars on here... it almost doesn't seem worth it anymore. I guess if I'm going to have the car for awhile (if the transmission doesn't die) it will be... but meh, I'm discouraged.

Since when was there competition on here? This place is about sharing not competing. We like to see what people do to their car, but you're never competing with anyone on here. We of course wanna see you keep the car and be happy with it, but don't feel you have to spend money on the car unless you want to. We certainly encourage people to spend money though, this site is half the reason I'm so f'ing broke right now, but that's cuz of my obsession not cuz I'm competing with anyone. I hope to be competing with all the lame ass ricers here one day though

I get discouraged because I see the potential the car has through other people's cars and the crazy ideas I have in my head, but I know that it probably will never come to fruition.
I guess compete is the wrong word... I just want to push the envelope with things that have never been done. I want to have the nicest car in my area and turn heads (in a good way) every where I go. It just doesn't seem possible at this point.

i still can't fix my exhaust leak, its getting to me. replaced flexpipe, cemented all gaskets, double checked everything with stethoscope and still a noisy. now i beleive its the catalytic since it takes a beating everytime i go over speed bumps. probably the honeycomb inside is loose and rattling. I need a highflow cat....where is a good place to get one. It doesnt have to have an O2 bung, my sensor is on the downpipe, well before the cat.
