Having Problems Matching the HID bulbs!!

Man, I've tried PIAA extreme white wedge bulbs for matching the HID's on the side marker of the main housings, I bought the LED bulbs from autodynamic, the single LED, for about 10 bucks a pair, WHICH IS DIM AS HELL!! With those LED's in it makes it look there is no light there at all cuz the HID is so bright, any one have any suggestions on how to get a nice bright white bulb for the 168?? Maybe something Raybrig or something? NEED SUGGESTIONS! thx in advance

i say just get different color ones, to match your lower corners.

Hello,

Right now I am using the #921 Bulbs. I think they are Polargs. They are really bright and blend in with my imitation Hyper whites really well. I have them for the top corners and bottom corners. They are 18W so they are bright. They don't overheat if you may think it does. These bulbs fit into the socket perfectly.

You should get yourself a couple of pairs. You won't be disappointed.

*Edit* BTW I have the clear bumper lens so that's why I am using two pairs. If you have the yellows just get a pair and they will match really well.

Alright, my mistake for saying HyperWhites. These 921 Bulbs are close to the HIDs. If you want brightness it has it. If you want that white with a hint of blue it has that too. BTW if hyperwhites is not the word to use, could someone explain to me what hyperwhite is? How about you Blacura? The only thing that's different between those Xenon imitations and the 6000K HIDs are the brightness. I can't see any difference with the color.

athlon, have you lined up your car right next to a car with HIDs? The color is way different, and obviously the brightness. Obviously the inner workings of the different bulbs are different. The tungsten filaments in the halogen bulbs can only get so bright and so white before the filament fails.

Then what you're saying is that they don't have bulbs that will match. Unless you do a whole HID conversion which there are none. So for the CL it would be the 9006, 9005, and H3 if you have fogs. Therefore what about the 168s which are normally 18W? 194s are interchangeable but are a measly 5W.

I don't want this to turn out into an argument as I barely know you Blacura and I apologize for not having HIDs, so to simply put it, there will be no brighter bulb for our corners than the 921s that are rated at 18W (IN MY OPINION). And therefore, if they are brighter and are superwhites, hyperwhites, xenon and krypton injected bulbs, or what have you... then they are our best bets. You can go all yellow but it just doesn't look that good.

azn5ucka86: I will post pics as soon as I get a digital camera tomorrow. I'll take pics of the 194 5W Xenons and of the 921 18W Xenons and let you see how much of a difference there is. Then you could also tell whether they are good for you (and others) or not.

athlon, i'm not tryin to start shit, sorry if it came off that way. hey man i didnt have HIDs either til like 2 weeks ago. I haven't tried every single kind of wedge bulb so i cant talk like i know what i'm tlakin bout. i'm happy with my leds even tho they're not bright, just cause the color matches. I am however curious to see pics of your wedges with your headlights. 18w does sound like a lot, do you get any bubbles on the lens from the heat?
