H22a help..... F0de??? anyone?

Ok, you might or might not know, but I now have an accord and I want to throw an h22a into it. Where can I get one? and what comes with it? ive seen them online (hondamotorsonline.com) the whole engine, tranny and ecu for like $2700. Anyone know where I can get one cheaper?? Do I really need the prelude tranny, or can I keep my accord manual? And do I really need to change the ecu eventhough I already have vtec?

Try looking at ebay or www.thepartstrader.com for cheaper prices on h22a swaps. I would highly recomend switching the tranny. The Accord tranny was built to handle around 150 HP if you have 200 HP engine plus whatever future mods you add to it the accord tranny won't last to long. Yes you do need a new ecu. The accord ecu is built for a SOHC vtec engine but the H22 is DOHC vtec engine not to mention that the two ecus have different redlines and vtec engagment points. You can basically use any DOHC vtec ecu like one from a Integra GSR but you can't use the accords.

I'm getting mine H22 from www.a1jdmengines.com He is located up in Toronto and since you live in NY you may want to pick it up. He charges 2,300 plus shipping or 2,200 w/out axles cause you can't use lude ones anyway.

I haven't received it yet, the shipment won't be in till April, but I know of 3 peopl who got H22's from him and are happy.
