HEY MY INTAKE MAKES THE UNMISTAKABLE HUMMING SOUND WHILE ENGINE RUNNING I FIGURED THIS IS NORMAL BECAUSE MY FRIENDS 3.0 CL DOES THE SAME (BY THE WAY I LOVE THE SOUND EVERYONE ALWAYS ASKS WHAT MAKES IT)
I HAVE ANOTHER FRIEND WITH A NEW MODEL ACCORD WITH THE SAME 3.0 ENGINE HE HAS A RACTIVE HEAT SHIELD INTAKE

BUT HIS INTAKE DOESNT HUMM???? WHY ?? I THOUGHT IT WAS ALL IN THE V-6 MAKING THE SOUND IM NOW CONFUSED?????

 

I've talked to the boys at Weapon*R and they call it the UFO hummmmm ... Funny thing is it only does it in the 3.0 CL! I've talked to other people with different brand short ram intakes in their 3.0 and they say it make a weird humm too .... so it's normal

 

it's normal with the weapon r dragon intakes.........at first i thought it was the foam filter, went and got a new filter same shit, maybe even a little bit louder. Then i thought it was the air diffuser (fins), so i ripped that out.....still same loud ass hum........now i'm just gonna get a CAI. Other short rams hum but i don't think it's as loud as ours.

 

Mine "hummmmmmms" like mad! Initially, I found it to be a bit annoying, but have gotten used to it quickly!

Actually, both! But referring to the initial "shock" when I put the short ram on.

 

I took my intake out and put back the stock one in the past and it still hummed a little with out the air silencer.

 

WHEN I HAD THE STOCK TUBE WITH A K&N OPEN FILTER IT STILL MADE THE HUMMM JUST QUIETER NO WAY I WOULD WANT THE HUMMMMMM TO BE MORE QUIET I LOVE IT IT IS 1 THING THAT MAKES OUR CARS STAND OUT FROM THE REST I LOVE GOING TO A CAR SHOW AND BEING THE ONLY ENGINE THERE WITH THAT SWEET HUMMMM SOUND

 

but still i dont understand why the 3.0 cl does the hummmm and the accord v-6 with the same engine doesnt???????????? why???? i make these guys madd down here they all tryin to bite my engine sound they go out and buy intakes and it dont hummmm they come asking me how did you get your engine to hummm like that I BE LIKE THATS A LUXURY EURO BABY THEY BE LIKE :wackit: DONT GET THAT STUFF ON MY CAR MAN TAKE IT EASY!!!!

 

I don't have a Weapon R intake just a generic one, and mine HMMMMs too.

i'm guessing that the resonator tube damps out more sound in the accord than ours... and also i think the cai doesn't make the typeS hum either...

I heard Perfecto's hum...I don't like that at all. Sounds like something is broken. Annoying.

Ok that worked. That sound is louder that mine I think. I dont have all of that sucking sound that goes along with the humming. My hum might be a little louder though.

MY CAR SOUNDS THE SAME BUT THE SUCKING SOUND IS NOT THAT LOUD

 

the sucking sound is actually not as loud as it seems in the video clip.. my digital cam picks up more high frequencies than low frequencies.. so the hum is actually alot lounder than the sucking sound! kee kee...

ohh i wish we can all do a meet together and see who's got the sweetest hum! ahahaha

u guys have a breather?? i have one it also comes from that too.. also the shape of the piping matters too!!

but i love my filter sound.. it sould like turbo at some RPMs

 

If you want it to sound like a turbo, leave the rubber part of the stock intake on...then connect a tube going to the tire well and add the filter to that.

That way...#1, CAI and #2, the small resonator will "wishppp" everytime you suck air or release the gas.

That was my setup before...Sounded kinda cool, plus no damn annoying humming sound.
