H22 in a 2.2CL?
H22 in a 2.2CL?
Hey,
I'm thinking about possibly getting a 97 2.2CL for a daily driver and eventually I would like to up the performance, hopefully to around high 13's or low 14's. I've heard that a pretty standard swap is an H22. I've never done a swap before so how hard to you think this would be for me to do by myself? How's the wiring? Do I have to get any custom brackets or anything made to get it to fit? Secondly, with an H22 in it what kind of times do you think I could run?
Thanks guys!

Yes the h22 is kinda common to use in the cl. I wouldnt do it for the fact that I have the 3.0 and im not downgrading and I would have to do mad custom work. Yes there is custom work to be needed but from what I know is not really much stuff that need to be customised since u have a 2.x. Fort track time your are really not goin to be doing any better (or mabey worse) than the h22 prelude since our cars car cow on wheels unless your going with some turbo which is going to cost lots of flow!
