i have a 99 3.0 and i was wondering if i can do my grill without cutting out all the black plastic

Also will people post pics of there grills

 

check out melanies post, she put the mesh over the front of everything. It doesnt look too bad.

 

Melanie has a '97 grill which is totally different than the '98 and '99 grill. The '97 grill is easy to put mesh grill on because it is a 3 piece grill that can be taken apart to accomedate the mesh and then put back toghter holding the mesh in. The '98 and '99 grill is a one piece grill that can not be taken apart.
To make a grill for the '98 and '99 CL's you can either make the grill a little bigger than the opening and then jam it into place and hopefulle that will hold it in place. Your secod option is to make the grill the exact size of the opening and hold it place with something. When I did mine on my '98 CL I used tie wraps to hold it in place. After it was done I didn't like it to much because you could see the tie wraps. Now I'm using fishing line to hold it in place because it can't be seen and it looks great. I have a pic of when it was held in by tie wraps and I will attach so you can see it. Anyways goodluck with your grill.
