Got My Eibach's and KYB's today
I just got my goodies today. I was reading through all the installation stuff and was wondering if the install shops need the instructions. Can I trust them? The Eibach's came with directions on cutting the bump stops. The KYB's came with instructions that indicated how to put them on without damaging them.
BTW...what settings do ya'll keep your KYB's at?

i have mine at 2 for the fronts and 4 for the rears. If the shop has any install experience they wont need the instructions, but just leave them in the box with the spring and everything, so they are there if they need them.
EDIT: 4 and 8, damn that is stiff as hell, i assume all the roads in your area are smooth, around here my teeth would fall out with those settings.

Right now, mine are on 4/8. I usually keep them on 4/5, but I set them at 4/8, 3 weeks ago for the track, and haven't set them back.
Setting the front is a pain in the ass (at least on the 3.0) as the top of the shock sits right under the strut bar (on one side). Therefore, I usually leave the fronts set on 4.
EDIT: I would give them the directions (never assume anything)!
Also, you don't need to trip the bump stops. It's ok if they trim them the suggested amount, but they'll be fine they way they are.
Mine were trimmed, but we left BigBrothers' stock. Both ways are fine.

I set mine on 4/8 for the autoX I did a few weeks and have kept it that way for a while. It's definitely a bumpy ride but gives you a lot more control. Then I got tired of it and switched it 1/3 and now I feel like I'm driving a cadillac, feels kinda good, but much more body lean and less receptive steering. Might put it to 2/6 It is a pain in the ass to set my left front cause I have to unbolt the strut bar each time.

nope, i just lay down and twist.
All I do is get on my back, feet facing the front of the car and head underneath the rear of the car slightly and twist fine.
On a side note, a blue M5 blew by me on the highway today, so of course my reaction was :wackit: at first and then I tried to keep up with it :shakehd: Was kinda fun for all 3 seconds, until it ducked around some cars and dissapeared forever. Of course I tried to follow, but almost smashed into a car in the very left lane No more trying to follow M5s for me But damn, that blue color is like an

GoldieAlek: You don't need to get AGXs. They just happen to be a pretty good shock for the $$$$$. BTW: I was just up near your place today (Thursday). I met up with NOMAD. I think I saw you several weeks ago (you drove by us, near your place).
