for godsakes

I just wanted to hear from my fellow acurazine heads before sending it to the only acura dealership in my city. (I went in today to set an appointment.. and this lady comes screaming in like "Everytime I come here you guys rip me off!!!".. I left on the quickness..

So today.. after a long days work.. with no fresh ice tea left in my cooler jug.. I go to open my door... I unlock it with the key... n the shit won't open.. So I go to the other side.. n it opens n I open the drivers door.. still happening.. I turn on the car and adjust my window to "right above my eye" level.. n my door pops open.. GOD.

appears my window is off the track or something completely.. it wont go down all the way.. well im sure it can but will probably shatter on the way..

anyone know the deal? this greeting guy at acura who i got a quick word in with (before the lady came in) said hes never heard of that happen before

WHAS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD??!?

Def sounds like it's off track, the common thing with our cars, is the regulator/motor for the window dies, this may be the begining stage of it

so you think the window is interfering with the door lock mechanism? well that sucks. It's not that hard to change out the window (at least on a 2g, not sure on a 1g). Just had my passenger window replaced and I watched the guy the whole time he was doing it. I think there is a diy guide on here somewhere on how to take off the door panel and replace the window/adjust the tracking. If you can't find it pm me and ill try and give you some advice to do it yourself and avoid being raped by the dealer.

FYI, you could do something for free for someone and they can accuse of you screwing them.

I installed a remote start for someone, they did not specify that they didn't want power locks connected. I did it, charged an extra $10 for parts with no labor. Guy was totally pissed off at me.

Evan

BTW, if you find a good local mechanic who knows imports you will be in good shape. I know many good mechanics that are much more reasonable then the dealer.

Don't order it from Acura... stupid me, I made the mistake of doing it and I got ripped off big time. You can use an Accord regulator too if you can't find a CL, but I think you lose the auto down function.

Dude, thats gotta be your regulator. Thats the same thing that happened to my car.

It was a pain to get the old one out because it was stuck. New one went in very easy.

Not sure how mechanical you are, but maybe its time to get your hands dirty if your not.
