This guy at my work is getting me hid kit and installing it tommorow for $350.00 total...He said it was the EUROLITE kit. Anyone know anything about it? Good kit? I heard its bright as hell...Will HID's drain more battery then halogen?

eurolite hyperwhites burn out hella fast. Thats all I know. HIDs actually take less power than hallogen.

my advice to you dog,

buy those things at a store
where u can bring it back
if u run into problems.

trust me on this one
or ur gonna lose money

if one ballast goes out
or something, u r gonna be pissed!

and then u r gonna take it to your friend again,
bullshit

Hyper whites and REAL HIDs are completely different. HIDs should outlast your car and they use 35 watt bulbs so they pull far less power than standard halogens. They have the ballast to ignite the bulbs but it is only a short 10,000 volt burst (or something around there).

The Kelvin temp is actually the color not the power and if its over 7k i wouldnt get them unless you really want color as opposed to usable light output. I wish i had 6k or 5300 Good luck and post pics

I got my hids a couple of months ago. I had my friend install them for me. After he installed, I realized how easy they are to install. They are a piece of cake, see if you can get a better deal if you install them yourself.

Ok...school me in this HID coversion.

Are these kits the entire headlight assembly, or are they just the guts and you retain the lens? Are they made for specific cars or do you get them for the Accord and what-not? Are there crap brands and quality brands of HID's?

HID kits are basically the two ballasts, two bulbs, and wiring harnesses. You leave your light housing alone. If you are buying a complete kit that is 9006 for us 1st gens, then you don't need to do any modifications to the housing mount. Basically plug and play with a little installing.

Yes there are a whole lot of 'crap' brands as far as HID's. The ballasts and bulbs both have their share of good and bad ones. If you are really worried about that tho, and are seriously considering HIDs, then stick with bigger brands like osram sylvania and philips.
