My gear light next to the shift nob is out. Everytime I turn on my light everything is lid up except the gear light next to the shift nob. I have to hit the shift nob or brake handle a few times so it can light up. What is causing this? Is it a loose wire or bulb??? If so, how do I fix it? Any pics to help me fix it?

 

u have an auto then i take it. my shit was loose too. i took the whole damn consule out and pushed it only only to have the same prob happen a hr later. i hit the console and it has been workin ever since

Yes my 2.2 does that also..i hit it a couple time every once in a while..other wise i just dont pay attention to it..sometimes it flashes on and off to the music..so i just do bother..

its must be 2.2 CL thing..

 

i just pushed the bulb in, but like i said as soon as i put the console back together, same prob. just hit it

 

Same probelem here, the crappy acura dealer charged me to replace it and it worked once after it was replaced and then shut off.

 

I say hit it a few times until it stays on

 

I have a similar problem. At first I didn't think it was a problem, I thought it just lit up when ever I shifted. Mines is only off occasionaly when I start the car. If move the shift lever between D3 and D4 a couple of times it'll turn on and then it doesn't turn off. I suspect that if you take it all apart and retighten everything, it'll be fine.
