fuel pump upgrade when you need it!

if your thinkn bout upgrading your fuel pump save your money unless your planning on running big power. all you need are bigger injectors. i max the stock pump out around 370 at the wheels which is over 400hp. so if your not planning on running this kind of power save your money.

I've been trying to find bigger injectors for my 3.0 but so far haven't come up with any that don't need trimmed down, anyone have any ideas for that?

I had some, but I think I gave them to GhostmasterCL, or I threw them away. Btw, did you ever get around to sending the mula via paypal?

How big did you want the injectors?

I dunno, as big as I can go without having to shave or trim them if that's possible, some ideas I had were NSX, or type S injectors. I remember you saying that S2000's would need trimmed. I guess I need to check out the forum I can't say on here for ideas. And no I forgot about your paypal money I'll try to get that to you next week, I'm real tight till I get paid cuz I just dropped $500 on paint and supplies for my new house

I'll help you look for the injectors. But I'm sure it had to be trimmed down for the CLS manifold, can't recall if there was an issue for the 3.0's. I'll do my homework when I get home.

Interesting info....
I bought a walbro 255lph fuel pump that I was planning on putting into my 2.2. The install doesn't look like too much fun with jack stands so I've been putting it off. Now I think I'm just gonna boost with the stock one and stock FPR too.
I also got 450cc injectors that I'm putting in tomorrow.

Don't worry I got it figured out. I'm putting in a chipped P28 with a map that's already been tuned for the same set-up. I'm also putting a LC-1 wideband in so I can see if its running rich or lean and make changes accordingly using crome and my ostrich emulator.

this may be the case for the 4 bangers, but the 3.0 fuel pump can't handle shit, and owuld need to be upgraded for even the slightest boost.

cocoa: no you didnt' send me the injectors.

97blackack: according to serge (02AV6) the RC injectors are direct fit in the fuel rails for the J30, but the J32 fuel rails do need to be trimmed down for the RC injectors.

would it be beneficial to upgrade the fuel injectors with just bolt ons and a piggyback to tune?

No, I don't really think it's worth it, you'd need several bolt ons to even see any performance out of having bigger injectors, otherwise you won't be pushing more HP or torque, you'll just be burning more gas
