Front plate not installed correctly by dealer
A few months ago the front plate on my 97 3.0 CL fell off. I ordered a new plate from the DMV and today went to Acura to get all the mounting pieces. I went to install the plate bracket (which Santa Monica Acura wanted 17.50 for until I told them per Peoria Acura listed for 14.75 Peoria's price 11.xx) only to find there were no holes in the top area (like my 01 CLs which ironically is registered in AZ so does not need a front plate) which means it was only mounted on the bottom under the bumper.
Those mounting points were completely ripped off, I assume due to not being supported on top. Does this make sense? Should the dealer that delivered it in Ca. and installed the front bracket have done it properly which would not have allowed it to break off?
There was no accident that made it come off, just 11 years of vibrating.
What are the chances Acura will fix the brackets under the bumper and properly mount the bracket 11 years later? I am the original owner and think they should have delivered the car with the front plate bracket installed so it would not fall off IMHO.

i agree but it is a stealership for a reason. they screw people over as often as possible. if thats the only thing they got you on when you bought the car, consider yourself pretty damn lucky
