Front bumper alignment

I recently took my front bumper off to repaint it. When I went to remount it I had a hard time fitting all the gaps correctly. After tightening the four bolts that hold the whole bumper frame to the car frame I noticed that the front still did not fit right there seems to be a big gap between the hood and the bumper even though the gaps between the fender and the bumper seem alright. I was wondering if there was some sort of a slide hook or something to that nature that I bolted over to make it so it doesn't line up right. If anyone has ran into this experience or knows anything that might help before I take the whole assembly apart it would be greatly appreciated. I tried to explain my situation as best as possible, so if there are any questions please let me know. Your help is appreciated greatly.

Sounds like you didnt get the hooks all the way on the brackets, which means you have to undo everything. I have done this and the sides do look fine but the front there is a definate gap. Putting the front bumper on is a real pain. Mine doesnt line up right on one side now because i got so sick of trying to fix it.
