Finally, something that might work.

first, u're paying 20 cents more
second, ur engine is not burning all the gas and even flood a lil making us loose more hp...
and last...from all the gas ur engine didnt burn up would just clogging ur injectors, which are damn expensive.
try it for urself if you get a chance...fill up ur car with 93 and run it on the high way, then fill it up with 87 and run the same highway...u'll noticed that the top speed when using 87 would be higher...u'll feel it at top end....gas milage would be better too.

i was going to look up all the articles about why its a waste to put higher than 87 in a car designed for 87, but I'll let you do that unless you're just into paying more for nothing. In that case I have some wooonderful Enron stock I've been holding for a really intelligent investor JUST LIKE YOU!
in fact, most modern engines designed for even premium can run on 87 without significant problems.
"Today's engines use highly evolved versions of a device called a knock sensor to adjust settings automatically for low-octane gas. And more engine control computers have adequate memory to allow separate sets of instructions for various octanes. The engine control computers keep pushing to maximize performance on whatever grade of fuel is used."
and don't even start in with the I pamper my baby crap. If its good enough for Porsche its good enough for Hondas
"All Porsche engines are designed for premium, too, but it's not available everywhere. "Our cars must be able to drive all over the world, and so we are able to run on regular," says Jakob Neusser, director of powertrain development at Porsche's research and development center in Weissach, Germany. "You don't have to feel that a mechanical problem or anything else will happen" using regular gas, even in the highest-performance, regular-production Porsches."

I read on the clublexus.com that my 98 GS300 with the 2JZ-GE motor was design for premium gas...but once i put in 87 it will detect it and remap itself to optimize with the lower grade gas so that it wont harm the engine, but i will lose like 8 miles per gallon and low in HP. so paying an extra $0.20 for gas and get an extra 8 miles per gallon pay off at the end.
Well the S2000...if i pump lower grade gas...you can feel the car being more sluggish and hear the motor running louder than normal. it doenst sound very health at all.
