finally got my HID kit setup

man, the hardest part i think is to find the mounting for it, but it's so friggan bright, i drove it to sacramento today just to have them on, man it's nice, its so damn bright that it makes my piaa extreme wedge bulbs look yellowish, i'm seriously thinking about putting back my stock bulbs for wedges and blinkers, it's so sweet tho man,

o yea it's HELLA HID kit with 7000k Osram Bulbs, i'll have pics up when I can get a scanner working, not for a while tho , but if anyone's in the area and wants to check it out, just im me, same screenname here as AIM, hahaha, nice kit though i love it

Try superwhite LED bulbs, they show up purple cause they're so white, maybe they'll match

I paid 400 for it, the place is about 10 blocks away from my house, he's a little tricky though, he tried to give me a used bulb, i had it checked and returned it, so if any of u guys want the kit, i guess you can go through me and i'll ship it off, since i can verify that it's a in good condition

where do you buy the white led bulbs, does anyone make some "super white" bulbs that shine only super white for our wedge sizes, 168?

Congrats on the HIDs!

I love mine!

They were very easy to hook up, but the hardest part was finding an area to mount the ballasts!

My ShowOff Krypton/Xenon 168s and the PIAA Extreme White H3s (foglights) now look yellow!

I guess this is the price you pay for getting HIDs!

How much of a pain is it to mount the ballasts? I think this could be my summer for HIDs

[I believe there is more room to mount the ballasts on the 2.2/2.3 versus the 3.0.]

Here's where I mounted the passenger side ballast:

i put my driver side ballast between my car battery and my airbox, it's a very snug and tight position, only used double sided tape to hold it, and then on the passenger side ballasts, there was this somewhat rippled flat area, so i double sided taped that one down to that spot, once that was in all easy from there

they're LEDs so they'll last virtually forever and you don't have to worry about touching the bulb i've had them in for awhile and no fading cause there's no filament to burn out and fade. I have them in my top corners and yellow bulbs in the bumper and i think it looks really hot

Yeah that would be nice to know, I just got the same kit from the group buy they had in the First Gen section.

I'll post pics soon, I may tackle the install tomorrow evening, so just be patient and I'll have some night pictures with my PIAA bulbs to compare the color balance

right now in my top wedge bulbs i just kept my PIAA extreme white 168 wedge bulbs, for the clear corners i have a piaa yellow ion plasma bulb, and for the blinker bulb in the clear corners, the color is totally mismatching when i signal, their piaa extreme bulbs too, i'm meaning to change the blinker bulb probably to piaa plasma extreme, but I got a extra set of piaa blinker bulbs to use up too, brand new if anyone wants to buy

I wouldn't get the blue corners. You could get a ticket for that shit because you can't have blue lights on your car. You are going to have a hard time matching bulb colors, so go for the yellows.
