Fiber reinforced blocks

First of all I wanna say horrible idea don't understand why. If I remember the j30 is. If it is not correct me, what j series is not fiber enforced. I'd like to do an upgrade next year or the year after. Resleeving i'm not sure would work or be cost effective.

i'm pretty sure the J series uses iron blocks. only the H series use FRM. Honda's biggest design fail IMO.

I agree with the failure of that thought, somebody was drunk and discovered somethin stupid. I thought I read somewhere that it was. I guess I will find out. Dicorp is there any way to tell by lookin at it?

I ask this because I will be trying to finish everything this year and the next and I would like to take it to 15lbs or so checking to see if this block is worth all the work for that kind of poundage. I'm also checking to see if a different j-series crank would make more of a stroker out of it and all that crazy stuff. There is nothing wrong with the engine right now. just seeing where I can go. All the info you guy's have or ideas will be welcomed.

Rods? Got any idea on how strong they really are. They handled alot of nitrous from me. Boost is a different beast though. They both beat the hell out of everything.

yeah FRM is functional for a stock motor, but once you want to upgrade its a big pain in the ass. I wish they made the H22 blocks out of iron like the F22/23 blocks were, they'd be SO much better
