ok 1st...... i have a 97 3.0....and i have noticed that when i accelerate my front speakers start humming...
2nd....when i park in my driveway it kinda goes uphill until you pull into my garage so when i park outside under the carport when i park...and then come out later to start it i put it into reverse and it pops really loud .....i dont know if i need to have the transmission checked, the transmission oil changed, if a ring is bad....what ?????and it only happens when i put it in reverse..

3rd....my light under my stick has gone out you know the one that lights up when you put your lights on for P

when you park on a steep hill, before you let off of your brake, put on your emergency brake. It will save your tranny

 

do you think thats all it is???? plus it isnt a steep hill!!!

 

yeah... i park on a very slight incline at work too... and putting the e-brake on before shifting to park helps... ... if i don't do it.. the tranny makes this really ugly noise before it goes into gear..

well..i hope thats it i will probably go get my oil changed and my transmission fluid changed tomorrow...just in case !!!! and i am probably going to get my aftermarket boston speakers next week bose sucks!!!!

i am really impressed with the boston acoustic.......and so was my dad hes as much wanting to fix up my car as i am...even though i will be paying for most of it .....hes been into cars for about 25 years now so hes really cool!!! but i still like the bostons over anything else i have heard!!!!

 

i have the same prob with the "light under gear"...
i've noticed that the light goes out sometimes. But when i just hit it lightly, it would light up again....

...when that light goes out in the dark, it feels like you're in a different car....

 

haha thats exactly what i thought too......its like woooooo its almost scary...lol....i smacked it a couple times it didnt help though!!

 

1) Alternator whine....you are stressing the electrical system...try a cap and noise supressors on the amps.
2)Set your e-brake first...and leave the car in neutral...than put the tranny into park...you are stressing your tranny by having the park lock hold the car instead of the e-brake.
3)Is it a light? I think it is a plastic tab that is mated to the shifter...if it is a light...jsut open it up and put a new bulb in.

 

 

well first off i dont have an amp.... and second i have replaced the bulb under the shifter i thought it would be more than that.... and i got my oil changed yesterday and my car runs alot better....i think that had a lot to do with it, so thanks for the help again and i think everything will be alright!!!!
