Ferrari vs. 2.3CL
Ferrari vs. 2.3CL
No this isn't some story about how I raced one, although I wouldn't hesitate to try! Just to see how bad I would lose!
At lunch time next to our office building there were several Ferrari's, a Boxter, and an Aston Martin, and they were giving rides for a donation to this charity. So I made a nice donation and got to go for a ride in a Ferrari 355. Red, convertible, very very nice. We started going down the street, had to wait at a red light, and then on green the guy didn't completely floor it, but he pulled very hard in first gear. And it climbed, and climbed, and climbed in first gear. I couldn't believe how high it went. I don't know what rev's he was at or what speed, but wow what an engine. He also raced up to cars waiting at a red light when he jammed on the brakes--I thought we would hit the car in front of us cause I don't know any car that can brake that fast. But the Ferrari had no problem and TONS of room. Must be absolutely massive brakes. So that was my really cool experience today.
Now for the CL part: I find my interior is WAY nicer than the 355's! Yeah I'm probably biased and all and I'm not sure how old the 355 was but it was almost like that interior wasn't really cared for. It was quite dirty, it looked a little used, not as luxurious as a CL. But I'm sure the leather is of a much higher quality, and it's a true driving machine though.
But I'll never forget the roar of that engine.

well... time to state the obvious...
it is a ferrari... the only car that could come close or match that performance is a lamborgini... They are made for that power and stopping performance(race cars)...
as for the luxury aspect of interiors...
RACE CAR vs. EVERYDAY LUXURY... theres my answer....
Id keep my CL, but if i had the cash Id have both.. you know, like a weekend car!!!
