I changed my face over my gauges today because it was cracked and now my tachometer doesnt work. I dont think I touched any of the needles, any suggestions?

 

the gauges you put on are probably touching the needle so it will not move. That happened to me.

 

I didnt put in gauges, I already had them. I was talking about the piece of clear plastic that goes over the whole gauge assembly.

 

Did you pull-out the gauge pod at all? I was wondering if you knocked a wire loose?

Also, is the clear plastic "lens" possibly touching the tach needle?

These are just "shots in the dark"!

That was the only thing that I could think it could be. I dont think
Ill have time to check it out today, but hopefully I will tomorrow. I dont think the clear plastic could be touching it, atleast I hope not. Thanks for the ideas/help guys.

 

I got in my car today and noticed the tach needle was behind the little pin and couldnt move foward. About halfway into my hour long trip I noticed it was working again. Somehow it got over the little pin by itself. Works for me
