EZ fix for SLOW windows

I have had my drivers side window motor go out already on me.
I replaced it with a new one from the dealer.

I was told that you need to spray silicone in the window tracks.
And I did so a few months before my window broke.
But it did not help any.

I bought a can of the honda spray silicone and used it last week.
The windows go up much faster than they did before. Its great.
I was worried about the passenger side takeing a dump soon but now its as fast as the new one in the other door.

Why does the honda spray work better than any other kind?

also where exactly did you spray it? Did you have to take the door panel off? My windows have been slow for about a year now

Be careful not to get the silicone on the window itself, or you'll have a smears worst nightmare.

That shit stays on forever.

Did you remove the interior panel?

Are there any special tricks or procedures to removing the panel?

so im guessing you would apply this the same as wd40.. everytime i clean my car ive been using it and it seems to last for about a week and a half..

i use the red extension that comes with it and spray into the inside of the window(right behind the side mirror).. never got any streakin or anythin..

im gonna try the silicone this weekend.. see what happens
