Electric Supercharger Blower
Ok guys, I know im going to get killed asking about this but what do you guys think about them? Im always looking for any type of upgrade big or small. And I probably wont get one until I get the more important upgrades first like headers, I just want to know if anyone has actually tried one. Some claim like 50hp and I know thats bs, but some real dynos and customers have claimed 10-15hp........thats not too bad. It cant be too much worse than the Helix power tower right? And there arent many options with our cars (3.0s) so im just thinking why not?........right ? Also it can be on all the time not just when you flip the switch. Dont criticize this without an explanation please.

The real electric superchargers are made by Thomas Knight and have been proven to put down some incredible numbers (yes, 50hp). Think of it as electric nitrous, but without the cost of filling the tank.

That link is impressive, I was talking about the cheaper ones off ebay and crap, but those are nice. So you support the idea, or still not into it?

The ones from Thomas Knight are nice and worthy. The problem is fabricating a custom mount for the E-SC. Plus adding a few batteries to keep the juice up (shouldn't be a problem with a nice set of capacitors though).
The crap ebay and gimmick electric S/C are not worth the time, money, or trouble.

hey NiteQwill have you looked into this? Have you seen it done? What all would I have to do to make this thing work?.........and is there a blow-off valve too i can really tell by the pictures?

I have looked into it. Everything provided is what is needed to work PLUS custom mounts to hold the E-SC. No blowoff for a SC, since I see no need to release pressure into the atmosphere. The picture looks more like a Diverter Valve, where pressure is rerouted back into the system after being released.
