Eibach Pro Kit Spring install question

So I installed the ebiach prk kit on my 98 2.3cl, everything went well it was a straight swap, but the rears are making this weird noise every time they get into a sudden ditch.....i mean if the bump/hump is smooth they are fine but if there is a sudden ditch/pothole then the one of the right rear will make a thud noise and the one of the left rear I can hear some kind of weird metal clunking noise....
The struts are the KYB GR2's new.

Initially I had installed the springs upside down which I corrected later.

didi i do everything right??? Was i suppose to install some thing else along with this....I am assuming that on the left rear the colis of the spring might be touching ecah other.......

on the right I dont know.....was I suppose to install some thing here....

Any one who has intalled a pro kit and have had any similar issues......

Some direction or help would be nice.

Thankx
JFK

thats the bump stops. or your balljoints slamming the strut towers. but you're not low enough for that.

its your springs clapping. Get spring isolators, there is a tread about them, search. you can order them through honda, they wrap around the progressive part of the spring.

Exactly. And if you call Eibach on it, they have never heard of this problem, even though it happens to everyone. Call their customer service, and they will send you coil isolation tubing, hopefully. I called twice, and never received anything, even though they said they would send it right out.

Go to the store and get yourself four feet of 3/8" fuel hose. Cut it into four 1' lengths. Slit it down the center, and apply it over the second and fourth coils on the progressive part (tightly wound) of the spring. Secure each end of the tubing by twisting a small piece of tie wire over it. Problem solved.

Is this limited to mostly Eibach springs, or is a problem with most other setups as well?

osiris...try to get the complete progressive part or the spring covered with the hose...I tried like 16" but still there is some noise....and oh BTW i got the wheel aligned yesterday and the noise has reduced dramatically....did you get your wheels aligned after the spring job??? may be it will make some difference....

HAS anyone had an issue with lowering a 3.0 with the Pro-Kit and teh front end lowering about .5 inch? I called Eibacj and they said that I need to cut 25 mm off teh bottom of my bumpstop, but here is the question:

If the bump stop was holding back my ride from going any lower then my car would ride like a truck, basically 100% bottoming out at all times. Does my question make sense? Please someone help me out or refer me to another thread taht might be of some help. THANKS in advance....

unfortunately those springs suck for real slammage. but then again thats what the NOOB GUIDE is for. should have gone with adjustable coilovers or a different spring.

it's not a prob with the prokit, it's the fact that there is a ton more wheel well in the front compared to the rear.technically speaking, it is an even drop........
