egr valve issue
egr valve issue
I was just browsing around for a bit of info, and stumbled upon a history of EGR issues with our beloved car. Can anyone fill me in on the issue? What is this I read about an extension on the EGR warranty? I think I might have the same thing going on...Help please
egr issues
I hope someone responds, as I myself have noticed unusual sporadic hesitation from my car, not sure if related to the egr valve thought may be the TPS sensor but one would think if it was the sensor it would not be a sproadic issue but a consistent one.
Anyone have any info?

if its sporatic hesitation it sounds like an ignition problem. wires, cap, rotor. or fuel filter.
do you guys have a 3.0 or 2.3/2.2?
The hesitation problem sounds like it is the same as mine. I am replacing my exhaust this next week, but I was having his problem a while back, and it went away. But I am still concerned about it.
I have a 2.3

Thanks wilp99 and everyone else, I had assumed those possibilities and replaced all including the fuel filter and exhaust converted to header full flow magnaflow with no improvement, again it's very sporadic but normally occurs only on restarting a warm engine and i can drive it out within a couple of seconds. But running nitrous, I don't need things getting lean on me without knowing why.

I did have error codes thrown before. I pulled them up myself, and all I got was cat below threshold. But the dealer ship pulled it up a month before and they were saying I may need to have the egr's cleaned out. They wouldn't do it though, they are a Honda dealer, and they referred me to Acura. BTW, I am relpacing my exhaust with a new cat back, will this help the cat below threshold prob/code?
no.. you have to replace the cat you need to take care of this soon as you will soon be shit out of luck if the cat totally clogs up. using nitrous breaks down the catlyst in the cat converter. nows your chance to get a high flow cat. oh and the cat back doesent include the cat, it goes from just behind the cat.
