I cant find turbo manifolds on ebay for accords. My friend got his turbo for 40 bucks plus shipping and his intercooler for 40 bucks too. It makes me sick to know the price that the 3g eclipses can build their turbo kits for.

I had a buddy throw a eclipse turbo motor in a 95 civic hatch, the car just ripped but then was stolen.

yea, alot cheaper, a custom turbo kit really isn't that hard to put together, you just have to worry about blowing the tranny, if we didn't have this shit tranny I would of done a custom TC kit years ago.

Depends who does it, I bet you could find a shop to do it for around 5K. I would of done all the work myself so it would of been ALOT cheaper.

from what I understand all you'd need is custom exhaust manifold and after that you could use mosly eclipse parts, pipping would be different but I dont think that it would be as much as buying the kits that are out there.

my bad, I thought he wanted to throw in the whole motor.

It'd be pointless to put on the turbo from the eclipse, it wouldn't flow enough for our motor.

actually on a 3.0 it'd probally hurt more then it'd help, the turbo would probably run out of juice at about 4500 RPM.

Your 2.3 would benefit though

bringing this post back... this sounds quite interesting has anyone actually put a eclipse turbo onto the 2.3? I have a 2.3 and was searching for more info on options. You say it would help the 2.3? but hurtthe 3.0... what is the reason for that? Not familiar with that type of turbo is it to small or something and not provide enough air flow?

i dont know man, the 14b puts out a fair amount of boost (can handle around 18psi stock), and our engine, without bottom end work, would be able to take at most around 10 psi...so i think it would work well, just be sure to get one from a 2nd gen eclipse, they come with the lower inertia turbos

So is this turbo set up a good one for the amount of money it is going to cost? It is probably going to take a few part fabrications to adapt it to the f23 well then again I have no knowledge in this area wish I did though. Do you know how it would fit? Or am I just sounding stupid haha.

it will be a pain in the ass man...
youll need the following:
-new headers
-helle intercooler piping
-new downpipe
-id imagine new injectors
-the turbo to begin with
-and a new intake

im probably missing a little, but either way, it would be a bitch...but it is definately possible

it wouldn't be difficult at all if you had any clue what you were doing.

look into taking a class at a local community college, they offer awesome courses. I've taken a few auto classes and am about to sign up for a welding class!
