ebay intake

sorry i hate to ask this again
ebay intake works right so
how about this one for 1st gen cl

wtf can't you just search!?!? seriously i mean..... haha jk it's kool ebay intake works fine as long as you buy a k&n filter and don't use theirs which are probably made outta toilet paper

lol some i owned you noob comment and stickys
i did notice those earlier intake post check them before
writing my own, thats why i signed up for this forum
to ask question and share so dont shut me down cuz im noob
i cant help it, being around ppl who worked on theirs car
i at least wanna pretend i belong here. <<--caught
oh yeah maybe il park my car somewhere for the bay area meet
so i dont get laugh at cuz my car stock.

An intake is an intake. I've had several on my Civic. The worst one I had made 6 less peak hp than the best one I had on a dynojet. It also only made 2 less hp in the mid range. It's not a difference you will notice by itself, but once you start adding some other mods, it can make a difference.

I don't mind threads like these. If it weren't for them, the 1st gen CL section would be dead.

If they are all the same then why are some over $300 and others only around $10?

If I buy a ten dollar one and put on a $30 K&N cone filter will it compare reasonably with the expensive ones?

yup, that's what we preach on here, that's what i have on mine, and I have an aem sitting in a box. an aluminum tube is the same no matter who makes it, the filter is what matters. You're paying for the carb sticker and the brand name

You're also paying for the R&D that's put into it as well. If AEM puts up $20k to develop an intake, some ebay company can produce the same one for simply the cost of materials and get the same performance.
