dumb question about clear corners

My clear corners came in the mail today. There's a disclaimer on them that says that it's produced for off-road/show use only, and that it's not suitable for regular driving. It says it doesn't have DOT or SAE approval.....

I'm not worried about getting pulled over, because most cars these days come stock with clear corners, and my car looks otherwise stock. My question is, are these things going to break easily from stones on the highway, etc? They don't really look like they're made from really strong plastic. I'm assuming there's only one manufacturer for these lenses? Anyone have bad experiences with them?

if you somehome get pulled over for these then that would be crazy. The cop would have to have terminator eyes that have like 100x optical zoom to see that your lenses lack DOT or SAE approval

as I said, that's not my main concern. I'm just worried that they'll break under heavy highway driving. As in are they any less durable than stock (not that I have a choice, my stock ones are gone anyway).

They won't break, they should be the same as your stock lenses as far as quality.

You would have to hit something pretty hard, or big, such as a a boulder, or a pole, or another car to really crack or break them. They are as tough as the stockies.

My clear corners are holding up a lot better than my front bumper and the front of my hood around the grill. Rock chips are killing my paint. Damn shitty Okie roads.

yes, I am a n00b to these cars....isn't everyone at one point?

I take relatively frequent long distance trips with my car, so I wanted to know if they're strong enough, because they didn't feel all that sturdy. My last car was an 84 supra...if you wanted clear corners on that bitch you had to make em yourself (I know people who have).

watch out for construction zones, those lazy people enjoy leaving their hardhats in the middle of the road for some one like me to hit at about 80 mph. that cracks them really quick

It could break, but not likely. My stock ones broke by the previous owner. I'm looking to replacing them soon.

that looks ace dude.....although my luck I'd get stopped for it within a week. I once got a TICKET for having my front license plate in the windshield of my supra (the bracket was rusted off, so I assumed it was fine in the windsheild)......
