doors always locking

Hmm im not sure if this problem has to do with my stock alarm, the door locks, or my aftermarket viper alarm... When im driving usually starts like 1-2min after i get in my car my car doors lock, like 2-3 times then as im driving periodically they will just making the locking noise 4-5 times randomly. Its like they are posessed. For example I'll be sitting at a light and out of no where my door just lock like 2-3 times (they already are locked). I went to sound shop to look at my viper alarm but I the guy said it didnt do it (this always happens when i try to show somebody somthing). Anyone elses car do this? Also when i set my alarm and walk away from my car i hear it locking multiple times after i set it CLICK CLICK CLICK.

maybe your aftermarket viper alarm has a feature to lock the doors after a desired time...when the car is on?

and its glitching on you...call up viper

i had a (dont laugh) minivan that had the same problem. it was a wire grounding out in the drivers door where the wires go thru the tube. try taking off your door panel and looking at all the wiring to see if its chafing anywhere.

but if it is the alarm, the locks are gound operaded so the alarm connects a ground to make the locks operate. check the wires coming from the alarm to the doorlock switch under the dash near the fuse box, they will be spliced in with a T connector

good luck

I had a viper alarm in another car and it would do the same. There is a way to take off the automatic locking. Just dont remmember how. You shold look into it. It was annoying as hell.

mine does that some times. i don't hardly ever lock my door when im driving but if i do, i'll hear it locking.

ti's a common problem from our cars and i think someone has said that it's the door lock motor(?) or something like that. eventually it'll get so bad that you'll have a hard time getting into your car cuz as soon as you unlock the car, it'll lock itself back up.

when i used to have my car this would always happen. i had a 97 2.2 with a stock alarm and 9/10 times when i locked my car it would lock at least 5 more times. sometimes it would take a couple minutes for the click click click to stop. no one could figure it out. just learn to ignore it cuz no one can figure out what it is so it can be fixed.
